Stewards

Stewards are nominated by the pastor and confirmed by the Quarterly Conference annually.

The Steward Board is responsible for management and oversight of the financial matters of the church as prescribed in The Book of Discipline of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church (paragraph 511.2). These responsibilities include but are not limited to: setting the pastor’s salary and benefits (in conjunction with the Stewardesses); the collection of monies contributed to the church; disbursement of funds to cover church expenses; accurate reporting of funds collected and spent; payment of CME Connectional obligations; soliciting funds as a means to encourage members to give; giving advice in planning the work of the church.

Stewardess

As Stewardesses the expectations are (Readiness). We must be on time and in place and be ready to serve and worship God in preparing God’s table (communion). Also a part of the Stewardess ministry is to serve our first family and any works that are assigned to us by the Pastor. We seek to learn from the Stewardess that came before us. We come together each Saturday before the 1st Sunday to prepare communion.

Trustees are nominated by the pastor and confirmed by the Quarterly Conference annually.

The Trustee Board is responsible for management and oversight of all property matters of the church as prescribed in The Book of Discipline of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church (paragraph 515.1). These responsibilities include but are not limited to: management of the church, parsonage, educational wings, vans, and any rental property if any. The Trustees are the first responders to any repairs and maintenance. They are responsible for the purchasing/rental of any equipment that will be used to enhance, repair and/or the upkeep of the church.

Community Program Manager

Ticina is a devoted Christian wife and mother, born and raised on the Southside of Chicago. She is an author, business consultant and creative entrepreneur. She earned her undergraduate degree from Chicago State University in Business Administration (Management).

Ticina is the owner of Creativiti Custom Designs and Events LLC. Creativiti Custom Designs and Events offers project based event design, digital marketing and project management services to small businesses, non-profit and faith based organizations in underserved communities. She has worked on community projects like the Chicago Children’s Business Fair, The Woodlawn Community Summit and New Covenant Baptist Church’s Economic Empowerment Summit. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, crafting and watching true crime television shows.
